BEDFORDSHIRE county darts player Trevor Ellacott will have his name engraved on the Graham Parcell Memorial Cup for the fourth time following his epic win at Arlesey Town Football Club recently.

The ninth year of this annual event, which also doubles as a fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation, saw a record number of entries toe the oche.

The quality of darts provided by all players taking part was unquestionably of the highest standard seen this year in any knockout event in Beds or Herts.

Ellacott came from 1-0 and 2-1 down to finally edge out Herts county player Paul Manning 3-2 in a final worthy of television exposure!

Manning, who played top darts throughout the competition, had some consolation when he claimed the highest checkout of the evening with 135.

The beaten semi-finalists were Barry Savage and Phil Viney, while £420 was raised for the British Heart Foundation.
