Letchworth Ladies contrived to play out their match against Twickenham to a last over thriller on Sunday.
Twickenham batted first and scored only 65 from the opening 25 overs as they struggled against spinners Julie Clarke and Vikki Borman.
By the end of 40 overs they had struggled to 127-6.
Letchworth found it equally hard to score runs on a slow pitch but still looked set for a comfortable win at 49-1 from 15 overs. Then four wickets going for 20 runs left them facing a possible defeat.
Twickenham were not prepared for Herts junior Rachel Williams coming to the wicket and smashing 35 runs from 36 balls before she was leg before.
Rachel and fellow Herts youngster Katy Light had set up a nail-biting finish with Letchworth needing five runs from the last over. Sam Berry kept her cool and struck the winning runs with a boundary with three balls to spare.
