Boro s youth team showed the senior side the way this week. They won a penalty shoot-out at League One outfit Gillingham on Tuesday night in the FA Youth Cup first round. Their reward is a home tie against Oxford United or Leyton Orient in the next round.

Goals from Tyron Sealey, Jamie Davidge and Scott Balderson meant the sides were deadlocked at 3-3 after extra time (1-1 at normal time). Boro held their nerve to win the shoot-out 5-4.
