Stevenage teenage boxing prospect Luke Gray made an impressive debut in the prestigious senior ABA championships.
The 18-year-old was pitted against the formidable Mark Macaulay, a 25-year-old from Chalfont ABC.
It was non-stop in an action packed bout of four two-minute rounds.
Macaulay tried hard to break Gray's tight guard but a classy performance kept the Stevenage lad ahead.
With sharp counter punching and excellent combinations, Gray's resilience paid off and saw him win on a points decision.
He will not have time to rest on his laurels as he travels to Thame this weekend for the Home Counties finals.
