The brightest young golfing talent in Hertfordshire played at the Letchworth course on Monday afternoon.
Letchworth Golf Club staged the annual Hertfordshire Schools' Team Championships, a greensomes competition.
Local schools involved were Hitchin Boys' School, Hitchin Girls' School, The John Henry Newman School from Stevenage and Knights Templar in Baldock.
Daniel Banbury and Oliver Holt from Hitchin Boys' School were only denied third spot on countback.
The Meridian duo of Chris Trimble and Oliver Bance won the event with 45 points and will now represent Hertfordshire in the national finals in Clitheroe in August.
Runners-up were James Witterick and Ben Halcombe (Kings Langley) and third were Marcus Fox and Sam Claridge (Roundwood).
