Letchworth Rink Hockey Club are all set for a full season and to continue their year-on-year growth.

The family-orientated club, founded in 1984 and based out of North Herts Leisure Centre, have had plenty of success over the years with players going on to play up through the rankings and even on the international stage.

But ultimately it is a club that is run by parents for their children.

The sport, not to be confused with inline hockey, uses standard quad skates and while it follows a similar path to ice hockey, there isn't excessive contact.

And with teams at various age groups from U11 to U17 and on into seniors and ladies, there is something for everyone.

There is training across three sessions at Knights Templar Sports Centre in Baldock on Thursdays, starting at 5.30pm.

That is also the time for any new starters with equipment available, such as shin pads, gloves, knew pads and sticks.

All you have to do is bring along your skates.
