Sunday saw all sorts of drama with so many crucial games taking place.

Broadhall Way was the venue for a thrilling Division One Cup final.

Brothers Joe Delasalle and Danny Delasalle netted to give Rising Sun the lead.

FCFL hit back through Michael Bunker's penalty and Kenny Slack's header from a Lee Allinson corner.

Dave Herbert finished superbly to put Rising Sun back in front before Allinson's free-kick from 40 yards sailed straight in, sparking off mass celebrations and sending the game into extra-time.

Ben Shearing knocked home what looked like the winner for FCFL but Rising Sun's big centre-half Daryl Smith got forward to bundle the ball home after it had come back off the post to force spot-kicks.

Five each were successful before Simon Purvey missed.

Up stepped Danny Hillard to stroke home the winner for Rising Sun who deservedly won the tournament for the Old Town pub the hard way after they had eliminated Mallard and MBDA.

Three head-to-heads each saw new championship winners.

The Premier Division champions are Nirankari Sports Sabha.

The new big boys of The Comet Stevenage Sunday Football League saw Ricky Case and Adrian Johnson instrumental in midfield as they put Dun Cow to the sword.

The entire league's top goalscorer Mark Barnes netted, as did Ben l'honore (two) and Darren Urquart (two).

Shaun Marshall and Justin Griffiths replied for the outgoing champs.

Division Two saw Station win a feisty battle against Coopers.

The latter had a glorious chance to go in front after Martin Barrett's free-kick was handled in the box by Liam McQueen; unfortunately Gav Acton's spot-kick was struck woefully wide.

Brian Dunne opened the scoring on the hour when his shot squirmed through James Barrett's fingers before the award of a penalty to Station saw dissent from Acton, seeing the Coopers hardman sent-off for a second bookable offence.

Martin Preedy kept his cool to net from the spot once it all calmed down

It seemed to inspire Coopers for whom Jason Lovelock pulled one back.

Dave Price finished matters almost immediately as the Knebworth-based side completed a clean sweep of wins in the league.

However, the opening game was handed to Breachwood Lions after they fielded an ineligible player, while a draw with RD Newcotech was wiped after their withdrawal.

In the Division Three decider, Jamie Campany netted for Hogshead who needed to win.

But Pin Green levelled within a minute when Paul Ryan scrambled the ball home from a corner.

Graeme Kear looped the ball home from Damian Hadlow's cross and the title was secured before half-time courtesy of a wonderful Gary Chambers lob over the keeper from Kear's through ball.

In the Invitation Cup semi-finals, an all-Premier clash saw Stevenage Fencing win thanks to goals from Ross Braine and Robbie Williams.

Bedwell Athletic replied through Aaron Mason before brother Joel Mason was sent-off with half an hour remaining.

White Diamond Security benefited from an own goal but Si Longman's strike was enough to send Granby St George to the final along with their goal advantage.
