After falling behind, captain Oliver Hammond calmly converted a penalty stroke to bring the scores level.

Harts began to settle and dominate the game. Two more goals were added before the half-time break, a goalline scramble allowed Ashley Hammond in for his one and then a great drag flick from Colin Burnell made it 3-1.

Jimmy Lewis added the fourth after the break but then it all went wrong.

Lack of discipline from Danny Fair resulted in a yellow card and gave Broxbourne a one-man advantage.

Harts conceded almost straight after the incident and panic set in with Broxbourne adding a third. Numerous chances to score a fifth were not taken by Harts and Broxbourne scored their fourth and levelled with minutes to go.

The seconds beat Old Southendians by four goals without reply.

Stevenage had their relegation confirmed after another league defeat, this time 5-3 at the hands of drop rivals Upminster.

Stevenage found themselves 1-0 down early on before they woke up and created a few openings of their own. Matt Oliver found brother Ben who creamed home a great equaliser with precision.

Upminster had the easiest of tap-ins with a three-on-one situation, giving Tim Dingley no chance for the second.

Just before the break it was 3-1 as Upminster counter attacked and James Hamilton tried in vain to cut out a pass to the centre forward who fired the ball past a stranded Dingley.

In the second half Stevenage took control of the early periods and got their reward when Chris Strickland found Oli Holt who slotted the ball home. Danny Blackburn then equalised, roofing the net after a fine pass from David Fisk.

Stevenage were left to rue misses when Upminster upped the tempo and killed the game off with two quick goals in a five-minute period.
