Stevenage Judo Club won seven medals - two golds and five silvers - at the recent Herts HSJA schools' championships.

They had nine entrants out of more than 200 and the Stevenage players had a tough task competing against established players from all over the county. Stevenage Judo Club has an established reputation at British schools' competitions. They welcome new members to their club training sessions at Camps Hill Junior School in Chells Way on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6.30-8pm.

Stevenage took competitors to the Bedford grading on Saturday and seven moved up a belt.
