Ickleford preserved their Division One status in The Broadview Windows North Herts League with victory over Hatfield.
It was a miracle the game took place after the torrential rain but a 35-over game was played.
Hatfield batted first and struggled early on being pegged back by some tight bowling but a late flourish enabled them to reach 140-7. Sam Giggle took 2-27, Roy Izzard 2-28 and Jack Edwards 3-33 while Peter Robinson was accurate although he remained wicket less.
Ickleford made hard work of their reply despite 27 from opener Tom Willoughby. Wickets fell regularly before James Dermont made 24.

Promoted Letchworth GC now cannot be caught at the top of Division Two and are the champions.
