Hitchin Town beat Cheshunt 3-1 to book their place in the final of the Herts Senior Cup.

Mark Burke’s men took a 19th minute lead on Monday evening through Robbie Burns before the same player doubled his side’s lead on the half-hour mark.

Midway through the second half Matt Lench scored Hitchin’s third before Cheshunt bagged a late consolation.

The Canaries, who are the reigning champions having defeated Boreham Wood 2-1 in last year’s final, will play either Ware or Bishop’s Stortford in the final. They meet this evening (Tuesday) in the other semi-final.
