Callum Riley says it is a fantastic feeling to play against Arsenal.

The Hitchin Town striker is a Gunners fan and on Thursday evening got the chance to play against the side he supports when he came off the bench in a friendly at Top Field.

The visitors had taken a second-half lead through Kaylen Hinds before Riley got his moment of glory when he tapped in at the far post to make it 1-1 with just two minutes of the match remaining.

Speaking about the experience, which also saw him pen a few autographs for young fans after the match, Riley told the Comet: “It was a fantastic experience. I grew up an Arsenal fan idolising the likes of Ian Wright and Dennis Bergkamp so to score against them is like a boyhood dream come true.

“I’ve been begging [manager Mark Burke] all season to get on, and it’s beyond words [to score]. I haven’t kept the ball all game, and it just came to me and it was instinctive.”
