Young gun Harry Marshall was majestic in winning the Home Counties junior ABA final.

The 16-year-old from Stevenage ABC won the under-66kgs title at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on Good Friday.

After struggling during the week with a virus and coming to the scales under weight, he still had enough to overcome his opponent in the final, Maverick Harding, from the Blackbird Leys club in Oxford.

Marshall stamped his authority on the fight from the opening bell and his better skills and workrate won him the unanimous decision.

He now boxes in the national quarter-finals in the Isle of Sheppey against Ashford's Levi Smith this Saturday.

Joining him will be former two-time schoolboy champion Terry Holmes (class four, under-52kgs) and former NABC champion Bradley Evans (class six, under-54kgs).
