The girls at Kingshott School in Hitchin have enjoyed some tremendous recent hockey success.

The under-13s narrowly lost to Queenswood, holders for the past two years, in the county cup final and were awarded the silver medals.

Their under-11s won the Orley Farm tournament without conceding a goal on Saturday.

The under-12s recently won the district outdoor tournament, a feat matched by the under-13s.

Their under-nines won the Felsted tournament after victory in all five of their matches.

Earlier in the term, the under-11s were runners-up in the Herts Mini Championship.

And the under-13s lost on a Golden Goal in the semi-finals of the same competition and won the district indoor tournament for the sixth year running.

All the teams are coached by Judy Devereux who is assisted by Hilary Guyton and Fiona Whittaker.

The girls featuring in their under-13s and under-12s were Alice Page (under-13s captain), Caitlin Thornton (under-12s captain), Sarah Camp, Katie Thomas, Victoria Marsh, Rosie Allsop, Megan Crowson, Natasha Greenstein, Abigail Walton, Anna Krempel, Katherine Ostojic, Sophie Sheach, Alia Aldegather and Claudia Charlesworth.

Hockey colours were awarded to Katie Thomas, Rosie Allsop and Victoria Marsh.

Those in the under-11s squad at the weekend were Natasha Greenstein (captain), Izzie Wright, Pippa Dixon, Alice Ostojic, Machaela Barden, Megan Crowson, Katherine Cook and Alex Constantinidi.

Harriet Tolson and Eleanor Stanley were also in the team for the Herts Championships.

And for the under-nines, the gold medal winners at Felsted were Amy Greenstein (captain), Sophie Stevens, Georgina Hodges, Hattie Hillard, Eliza Norris, Jordan Semmens, Katy Stroomer, Annabel Keam and Laura Bruce.
