The Knights Templar School golf team from Baldock has made it through to the national finals of the British Heart Foundation tournament. This will be played at the Belfry in September and means they are now in the last 20 from around 3,000 school and golf

The Knights Templar School golf team from Baldock has made it through to the national finals of the British Heart Foundation tournament.

This will be played at the Belfry in September and means they are now in the last 20 from around 3,000 school and golf club teams nationally.

The top trio are the Year Nine pairing of Mark Hammond (11 handicap) and Laurie Owen (eight handicap) and Year 12 student Joe Smith (three handicap).

They finished runners-up in regional finals at Canons Brook Park GC against 30 teams covering East Anglia, London and the Home Counties.

This was after finishing runners-up in regional heats at Shendish Manor. There were 60 teams involved in these regional heats covering mid to south Herts.
