GIRLS' youth rugby will take centre stage in Letchworth Garden City this weekend.
This Sunday, 28 teams from across the region will take part in the Herts Girls' Sevens at Letchworth Rugby Club.
With players from Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Beds, Northants, Bucks, Leicestershire and London - as well as Herts - this festival will feature all of the region's leading players.
No previous junior festival held in England has featured more teams - and yet Herts Sevens is in only its third year, with the number of teams competing doubling since last year.
Play begins at 10.30am and everyone is welcome to come along and witness a revolution in girls' sport.
Player numbers are up around 400 per cent in two years and new teams are appearing across the Eastern region.
