Letchworth Garden City Eagles under-14s girls were the second local team to host American visitors from Bennington, Vermont.
Monument Soccer Club visited England over the Easter period and played the young Eagles at the County Ground in Letchworth last Thursday night.
Due to school commitments and injuries, Eagles had to be boosted by three players from their under-12s team.
Eagles took the lead late in the first half but the Americans equalised after the break.
The Eagles team was Amy Shimell, Helen Stone, Holly Marshall, Junique Aujla, Heather Cousins, Rachel Moir, Sophie Bottazzi, Natasha Reynolds, Katie Lambert, Lauren Hill, Amy Phillips, Chloe Ward, Ella Ellisdon and Laura Harfash.
The officials were Royston Crow League referee of the year 2004-5 Angie Searle and sons Chris and Nathan.
Eagles are hoping for a return visit to Vermont next year depending on fundraising.
