ARLESEY teenager Shane Brown was part of a college select football side which beat England under-18s.

The 17-year-old played on Saturday at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall in Shropshire.

The England side were at Lilleshall in preparation for future internationals but the college side had other ideas and secured a 3-1 victory.

Shane played at left-back and saw his college side score twice in the second half to win.

They had spent Friday training alongside the England lads.

Shane, who attends Bedford College as part of his carpentry apprenticeship training with North Herts Homes in Letchworth, has been playing for Bedford Town reserves this season.

He played for the Bedford Academy side last season.
