Potton United's footballers know only a win will do this Saturday.
The Royals host Ford Sports at The Hollow in their final league match of the season.
They lead Woodford by a point but the second placed side, who visit Blackstones, have another game remaining as well (away to Raunds on April 29). If either side slip up, third placed Northampton Spencer are waiting to pounce.
Potton kept their hopes alive by winning 1-0 at Stotfold on Easter Monday (report on Sport 4).
Biggleswade Town were 4-0 derby winners at Langford on Saturday (see Sport 5 for report).
Biggleswade United went down 3-1 to champions elect Oxford City.
City's Ray Spence proved to be the scourge of Mid Beds again as he hit two second-half goals and was the clear difference between the sides.
Having already planted three past neighbours Biggleswade Town and two more against Langford in recent weeks, the on-loan striker from Reading gave the United defenders a torrid time.
Fielding a weakened team, it was one-way traffic until the 28th minute when City finally broke down a resolute United back line thanks to playmaker Mark Jones.
The second period saw United enjoy more of the game but the threat and prowess of the City strikers tipped the balance. Spence pounced to score the City's second as the striker certainly showed his class.
A second goal for Spence in the 70th minute City put the game beyond United.
With time ticking away, United made a last-ditch effort and in the 86th minute, Mathew McCartney headed the ball on to Keith Thomas who sent a superb overhead kick into the top of the City net for 3-1.
