FOLLOWING on from their midweek FA Cup disappointment, Hitchin were dumped out of the FA Trophy at the First Qualifying Round stage - but they made a fight of I! Trailling 4-0 at Hampton with little more than 10 minutes to play when quick goals from Ryan Frater, Josh Sozzo and Mark Bridges set up a grandstand finish. But with The Canaries pushing for an unlikely replay a fifth Hampton goal settled matters.

Arlesey Town will have to do it all again on Tuesday following a 0-0 draw at Sittingbourne.

In the Eagle Bitter United Counties League Premier Division, Potton United suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at lowly Bourne Town but Stotfold won 2-0 at fellow strugglers Yaxley thanks to goals from Ricky Geraghty and Adam Furness.

Biggleswade Town prop up the Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division following a 2-0 home defeat by Holmer Green. Biggleswade United were not in action but sit third from bottom just two points ahead of their rivals. A last minute goal denied Langford all three points and they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at tring Athletic. In Division One Arlesey Athletic slumped to a 3-1 home defate at the hands of Hoddesdon Town.
