IT is a defining weekend for the title hopes of Potton United.

Ian Donnelly's side trail UCL Premier Division leaders Woodford by one point having played one game more.

Only two wins will suffice as the Royals host Blackstones on Saturday and then visit Stotfold's Roker Park on Easter Monday for an 11am kick-off.

Potton and third placed Northampton Spencer, a further point behind, have three games remaining.

Biggleswade Town visit Langford's Forde Park on Saturday as they bid to move away from the SML Premier Division drop zone.

On Saturday, Town picked up a point in their fight against relegation. They shared a goalless draw with Aylesbury Vale.

Biggleswade United, who travel to league leaders Oxford City this Saturday, went down 3-0 at home to Leverstock Green.

P Sandy teams are involved in two cup finals this month.

The first is next Friday (April 21) when the reserves take on Ickwell and Old Warden Res in the Saturday Beds County Junior Trophy at Potton United (7.30pm ko).

Club chairman Colin Osborne said: "Come and give your local team your wholehearted support."

Two days later, Sandy (Sunday) are in action in the Beds Sunday Junior Cup final against Celtic SC Res from Luton at Wootton Blue Cross (10.30am ko).

The club's rescheduled race night is next Saturday (April 22) and the end of season presentation night is on Friday, May 12, at Sandy Conservative Club.

This year's Gala Day takes place at the Bedford Road Recreation Ground on Sunday, June 4, with five-a-side competitions for boys (under-eight to under-13) and for girls (under-10 to under-17).
