STOTFOLD completed an emphatic double over league whipping boys Harrowby.

The Rokermen avoided complacency following their 9-0 Roker Park romp earlier in the season to win 5-1 away from home on Saturday.

The floodgates opened after 10 minutes when Paul Harrington's corner was met with a glancing header by Richard Pringle at the far post.

Adey Bascombe and Pringle had chances to double the lead, while another Harrington corner resulted in Ryan Frater missing a golden chance.

Harrowby threatened briefly as Mark Wilson's wayward shot was retrieved by Daryl Chappell but there was nobody to tap it home.

Stotfold did double their lead five minutes before the break when Leon Cashman's great cross was met with a diving header by Bascombe.

It was 3-0 on 56 minutes as Jermaine Daley's low free-kick was parried and Pringle tapped in.

Daley was then involved in the Harrowby goal as he wrestled a player to concede a penalty. Chappell squeezed his kick under Nigel Blower's body.

Two goals in the last eight minutes from Harrington ensured the points returned to Bedfordshire. His first was a superb free-kick and then he chipped home from a tight angle.

Rokermen: N Blower, Daley (Thomas 85), S Blower, Frater, Gonzague, Beckett (Benton 70), Potter, Harrington, Pringle, Bascombe, Cashman.

Wayne Goldsmith's sixth goal of the season could not prevent Langford losing 2-1 at home to Leverstock Green.

Goldmsith scored after 71 minutes but the visitors responded through Adam Collins (from the penalty spot) and James Armstrong late in the game.
