St Albans City’s secretary Tom Norman is set to leave the club at the end of the month – to take up the same role with Sky Bet League Two Stevenage.

Norman has been with the Clarence Park club for five years, first as commercial manager before taking on his current role after the departure of Steve Eames.

His final day will come after Saints’ Vanarama National League South game with Welling United.

A club statement said his position as secretary was one “he was suited to and thrived in”.

It added: “His tenacity and dedication to St Albans City FC will be sorely missed by all.

“He goes, however, with the club’s blessing and we all look forward to seeing him back at Clarence Park in the future.

“Tom has been preparing his handover for the last couple of weeks in order to make sure normal service continues.

“We are sure all supporters will join the club to wish Tom every success for the future.”
