Bedwell girls return to action with 3-3 draw against Welwyn Pegasus

Bedwell Rangers girls resumed their season after a lengthly lay off against potential title rivals Welwyn Pegasus.

Rangers dominated the early part of the game missing numerous chances, but they got their rewards when K Slayford opened the scoring from long range.

The goal sparked Pegasus into life and they scored with their first attack before quickly adding a second.

Back came Bedwell with L Cato tapping in a H Manton corner and then a R Moore cross-cum-shot found its way into the Welwyn goal.

The second half was a battle on a heavy pitch and each team took turns of having spells of possession.

Then Bedwell were awarded a penalty when a forward was pushed over in the box, and the resulting spot kick was saved by the pegasus keeper and this lifted the Welwyn girls who broke to score the equaliser.

Bedwell still had time to miss numerous chances in a highly entertaining game which ended 3-3.
