Saturday was a bad day for Biggleswade's two clubs in the Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division. Town are languishing at the foot of the table with a solitary point following a 2-1 home defeat by Colney Heath, despote having taken a second half lead through Scott Orphanou.

United are three places and four points ahead of their rivals and were on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat at league leaders Harefield United.

Langford also suffered, going down 5-1 to third-placed Leverstock Green.

In Division One Arlesey Athletic lost 3-1 at Cockfosters, Adam Millard scoring a late consolation for the visitors.

Paul Garrett's second half goal earned Potton United a 1-0 success over Long Buckby in the Eagle Bitter United Counties League Premier Division. But Stotfold continue to struggle and were hammered 7-0 by Stewarts & Lloyds of Corby.
