The midfielder returns to the club where he made 105 appearances between 2011 and 2013, with the U’s paying Boro an undisclosed fee for his signature.

Beautyman arrive at the Lamex on a free transfer from Northampton last summer, but the failed to make an impact for Darren Sarll’s side.

The 25-year-old made 14 appearances across all competitions as he struggled to force his way into the starting XI ahead of the likes of Tom Pett and Alex Samuel.

Beautyman’s only goal for Boro came in the 6-2 defeat Checkatrade Trophy defeat against Oxford United, also picking up two assists during his spell at the club.

The deal sees the former Peterborough United man become the third player to leave Stevenage on a permanent basis over the past month, with Blair Turgott moving to Boreham Wood and Rowan Liburd signing for Guiseley.
