Stevenage took on Exeter City at St James Park on Tuesday evening. Read on for Layth Yousif’s PLAYER RATINGS

Stevenage

Seny Dieng: 6.5 - The former QPR keeper coped admirably with the aerial threat posed by the Grecians. No chance with the goal just before half-time

Luther Wildin: 5.5 - A disappointing night for the highly-rated player after receiving a red card for two fouls. Won’t recall this match fondly. Offered support in attack as he powered down the right flank on his trademark runs but a shame his touch was slightly off prior to his expulsion.

Scott Cuthbert: 6.5 - A good organiser

Ben Nugent: 6.5 - Solid and dependable, Happy to put his body on the line with blocks and brave headers

Steve Seddon: 6.5 - The on-loan Birmingham City left-back went close with an effort before the break.

Joel Byrom: 6.5 - Put in a shift ahead of his backline. Booked for a late challenge on Jake Taylor

Michael Timlin: 6.5 Long range shot form distance flew just past Pym’s right hand post

James Ferry: 6.5- Replaced Sonupe following the 1-0 over Carlisle. The favour was returned as the former Spurs academy attacker came on for the former Brentford youth Ferry on 69 minutes. Deserved his ovation from the 56 travelling fans

Danny Newton: 6.5 - Quick feet and silky touches allied with an excellent work rate ass ever. Faded but not through a lack of effort. Earned his applause from the travelling Boro support

Ben Kennedy: 6.5 - Started brightly but was forced to drop deep to receive the ball

Alex Revell: 6.5 - Powerful first-half volley which narrowly flew over. Worked hard throughout but not as effective as he would have liked. Fired over from an acute angle late on

Substitutes:

Emmanuel Sonupe: 6.5 - On for Ferry on 69 minutes

Kurtis Guthrie: 6.5 - Replaced Newton late on

Exeter City:

Christy Pym: 7 - Dilligent throughout the evening

Pierce Sweeney: 7 - Put in a shift

Aaron Martin: 7 - Worked hard

Nicky Law: 7 - Headed over from close range when well placed but offered a lively presence during the match

Lee Holmes: 6.5 - Worked hard

Jayden Stockley: 7 - Drilled a shot over the bar in the first half. Drilled the ball against the bar in the move before Moxey’s goal

Jonathan Forte: 7 - Could have scored after the break after Law squared for him. Worked hard throughout and deserved his ovation from the home support in recognition of his efforts

Dean Moxey: 7.5 - Opened the scoring with an emphatic finish moments before half-time

Luke Croll: 7 - Fizzed a shot over the bar midway through the first half

Jake Taylor: 7 - Worked hard

Hiram Boateng: 6.5 - Lively but faded

Substitutes:

Lee Martin: 6.5 - on for Holmes 66

Chiedozie Ogbene: 6.5 - On for Forte with 15 minutes remaining
