Hopes for a full programme of fixtures this weekend

It is hoped we see a full programme of fixtures this Sunday to get us back on track, writes Darren “Statto” Jones.

With the exception of nine games played on December 12, some teams haven’t kicked a ball due to rain, snow and frost since November 21.

We still have six sides in the Herts Senior Cup at the last 32 stage. Broadhall are already safely through, whilst Almond Tree United, Dun Cow, MBDA and Nirankari Stevenage are scheduled to play this Sunday.

Marquis United have been put back to next Sunday, whilst Bottles’ Herts FA suspension has seen them thrown out of the competition.

Stevenage Fencing are in Herts Intermediate Cup action, Nirankari Stevenage Reserves are already through to the next round.

Bedwell Rangers, Walkern Construction and Granby are all in the Herts Junior Cup last 16 the following week.

There’s an attempt to get round two of the KLM Challenge Cup underway too.

Fingers crossed…
