The forward took his goal tally to 10 for the campaign on Saturday, as his man of the match performance inspired Biggleswade to a 3-0 victory over Edgware.

Marsh - whose brother, Laurie, is a full-back at Langford road - scored in the fifth and 31st minute, with a tap-in and drive from outside the box. He completed the hat-trick with a penalty inside the final 10-minutes, which he chipped ‘panenka’ style down the middle.

Speaking to the club’s YouTube channel, Biggleswade FC TV, Marsh said: “I’m aiming for about 25 (goals), maybe more towards 30 if I can.

“It’s a good target in a team like this where you’ve got contributors all around.

“I thought I’d be a bit cheeky (with the penalty).”

Marsh’s play-time was limited last season due to his university course. Now available full-time, his clinical finishing and intelligent build-up play is helping FC lead the way at the top of the league.
