Within the first minute Lauren scored her first goal of the game as the Belles began brightly against Bedwell.

The Belles continued to attack but due to good defending from Bedwell the first quarter ended with no more goals.

The goalscorer was on top form and only two minutse into the next quarter she hammered home her second of the match goal, while team-mate Mia was unlucky not to score after a great shot.

With two goals already, Lauren broke three to score her third to put her team in a commanding position which is strengthened by a great save by Ros in goal.

Bedwell manage to get one back to make it 3-1 at the break but the three goal lead is restored after the break through Mia before Bedwell pull another two goals back before the final quarter.

Not to be beaten, the Belles upped their game and Lauren bagged a fourth and Jessica made it six.

Bedwell added a late fourth, but it was too late and the Belles held on.

The Belles did well in this top of the table clash, scoring after 14 minutes when a scramble ended with Sasa stroking the ball past the goalkeeper.

Five minutes later the Belles doubled their lead as Josephine, who was a thorn in Bury’s side all day, scored her first goal for the club.

Bury then replied with a magnificent shot which Nicole thought she had managed to stop.

It was Bury who drew first blood in the second half, again with a hard, long range shot. However three minutes later Hitchin were back in front as Sadie produced a stinging shot of her own.

Emily, Kinnari and Sadie all produced a great passing move which culminated in Sadie smashing her second and the Belles fourth, and then Sadie pounced for her hat-trick as Sasa found her unmarked on the opposite side of the penalty area.

The Belles were awarded a last minute free kick 15 yards out and Sadie stepped up to strike it to put the gloss on a terrific display.

Belles: Nicole, Tanya, Meg, Jess, Sadie, Sasa, Josephine, Kinnari, Emily, Ciara, Beth, Katie.

Player of the Match was Sadie.
