TWO Stevenage boxers are in the national semis of the Junior ABA Championships.

Luke Gray and Bradley Evans will be involved at Aldershot a week on Saturday (April 22).

Gray was in explosive form in his under-64kgs class six quarter-final at Bristol on Sunday. He took less than 30 seconds to halt the hapless Michael Gay of Western Counties Bridgeport ABC.

Gray, who has nearly 50 contests behind him, was just too quick and accurate for Gay. He will now face Billy Henty of Eltham and District in his semi-final.

Lewis Skinner (48kgs) was unfortunate to lose a decision by 8-4 in the first bout of the day. The Stevenage boxer performed well against Hart (Davenport) who had lost only three of his 18 fights.

Evans, Stevenage's current NABC champion, is through to the semis against Jay Kelly of Earlsfield ABC from South London. He received a bye in the last eight at class five under-50kgs.
