THE destination of the Division One title could be decided on Saturday.

Magnum travel to leaders Baldock Res knowing they must at least draw to keep in the hunt.

Baldock Res suffered a setback when they could only draw 1-1 at home to Bedwell Rangers Res.

Michael Masters scored for the leaders with Oliver Roworth replying for the visitors.

Magnum made up ground when they beat AFC Santos 5-0 to put themselves three points behind the leaders with a game in hand.

Their goals came from Alim Uddin (two) and Aaron Cochrane, Lee Gibbs and Peter Morrison.

There were also further matches in the group stages of the Benevolent Shield at the weekend.

Group A started their fixtures and there were wins for Wilbury Wanderers and St Ippolyts.

Wilbury Wanderers beat fellow First Division side City Hearts 2-0 with goals in each half from Richard Pearson and Dean Smith.

St Ippolyts won the all-Premier clash against Kimpton Rovers 4-2. The league winners scored through a brace for Ryan Foster and other goals from Wayne Maguire and Mandel Mullings. Kimpton replied through Craig Barnes and Sam Gibbs.

In Group B, Whitwell Village made it two wins out of two by beating Codicote A 5-2.

A hat-trick from Dean Mullings led the way although Wayne Ewington's 30 yarder was the pick of the goals. Their other goal came from James Farrelly. Codicote replied through John Wicks and Mark Zienkowitz.

The other game in the group ended goalless between Bedwell Rangers and Baldock in a game of few chances and both defences on top.

The one game in Group C saw Premier Division side Stevenage Council Club win comfortably against First Division Fairlands 6-1.

A brace apiece for Michael Bunker and Lee Kitching led the way. Other goals from Dan Gregory and Adam McKenzie. Fairlands' solitary goal came from Paul Hicks.

Group B: Bedwell Rangers 0 Baldock 0, Whitwell Village 5 Codicote A 2.

Division One: AFC Santos 0 Magnum 5, Baldock Res 1 Bedwell Rangers Res 1.
