For three weekends, the Premier Division side have been building up to playing in the semi-final.

The weather denied them twice, so when the game finally took place on Sunday, it was with enormous disappointment to players and management alike that they fell to a 3-1 defeat.

Queens Head Sandridge were well organised and led 2-0 at half time, and once they converted a dubious penalty to extend the lead, the tie was all but over.

James Campbell did net to reduce the deficit but it proved too little, too late for Red Star.

The final four in this season's Challenge Cup are all from the top flight after Wanderers and The George Hitchin defeated JCA and Ocean's Eleven respectively.

In Division Two, AEK Letchworth played a double header with local rivals Dynamo Letchworth in a bid to ease their fixture congestion.

The first game needed a Stuart Morris double to give AEK victory, while the second game saw AEK run out easier winners as a hat-trick from Micky Smith and Matt Bond's double produced a nap hand.

Walsworth are looking at their highest ever league finish after another victory.

This time Paynes Park Superstars were the victims as Walsworth won 5-1.

Danny Levy (two), Gavin Stevens (two) and Bradleigh Walsh scored for Walsworth, Ian Hyde in reply for Paynes Park.
