Letchworth under-13s became Herts county champions by beating Abbots Langley by seven wickets in the county final.

Abbots Langley won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 90-4 off their 20 overs. Bowling stars for Letchworth were Dominic Simmons (4-1-11-0), Javinda Shah (4-2-7-0), Phillip Hall (4-2-7-0) and Tim Graham (4-0-18-1) backed up by good fielding from the whole team.

In reply, Letchworth batted strongly with Graham hitting 27 and James Stroomer retired on 32 as they reached their target for the loss of three wickets.

Letchworth became Hertfordshire's representatives in the regional knockout at Bishop's Stortford.

They comfortably beat Cambridge St Giles but failed to gain a place in the national finals of the ECB under-13s competition by losing to Sheringham.
