Letchworth Ladies second XI started the match against their Saffron Walden counterparts moving the ball well and had numerous chances including hitting the post but the game remained goaless.

Good attacking play by Leanne Gateson down the right wing caused the visiting defence some problems.

Finally the deadlock was broken by a neat move from the right which Haidee Castle slotted home. Saffron Walden came back strongly and the Letchworth defence were forced to defend several corners. After the break the game was finely balanced with good play from either side. Tracy Gateson pulled off some great saves in goal and tireless work from Ros Cramp and Mary Loach in the midfield kept Letchworth ahead.

Midway through the second half Saffron Walden came back strongly and were rewarded with two quick goals after some quick attacking from their left wing.

Letchworth never gave up and kept possession well and brought the score level with another goal from Haidee Castle. The top of the table clash finished all square with Letchworth remaining three points ahead.

Letchworth Ladies third XI lost out to Shefford & Sandy 5-1 with Jo Pinn getting their goal.
