It’s a been good month for talented Stevenage flyweight Lauren Parker after winning her latest fight.

The highly-rated fighter, managed by Mervyn Turner from Shamrock Boxing and coached by Paul Day and Paul Webber beat a tough Bulgarian opponent at the Bedford Corn Exchange earlier this month.

Popular Lauren, who does a large amount of work in the community, outpointed Rozmari Silyanov to remain unbeaten to remain an impressive third in the UK rankings.

The Stevenage Boxing Club fighter coaches young children and adults. Big-hearted Lauren also works with the police including well-respected North Herts chief inspector Julie Wheatley to help youngsters with behavioural issues.

Speaking to CometSport Lauren said: “I do 12 week programmes with the lads and so far it has been a complete success. It has had a massive impact on confidence and behaviour. It’s great to pass my love for the sport onto others.”
