Stevenage Boro Juniors under-14 girls became Chiltern Sevens League Cup champions at the weekend.
They beat a strong Luton side 3-1 after extra time in a thrilling final. Boro Juniors were a goal up early on with a fine strike from Rachel Carte before Luton equalised towards the end of the half.
The breakthrough arrived in the second period of extra time. A well-taken goal by Tayla Huckle with eight minutes remaining was followed by the same player netting a third in a one-one-one.
The girls are managed by Tony Creek and Dave Carter.
