Blueharts Ladies first XI have finished third in the Five Counties League Premier Division.

This is their highest league position in more than seven years after a fabulous season.

Despite losing their last match 3-0 against South Herts, the ladies finished just one point below the two top teams, St Neots and South Herts, and only narrowly missed out on promotion.

This season has seen Harts return to winning ways again and there is a new optimism which is reflected across the whole ladies' section.

Their second XI and third XI teams both secured promotion this season.

The ladies will be aiming to improve further on these results in the 2008-09 season with the first XI now pushing for a place in the East Women's League once more.

And the seconds and thirds will also hope to continue to climb their way up the divisions in the Five Counties League.

The club is always looking for new players - both field players and goalkeepers.
