Biggleswade United's footballers prepared for the new season with a couple of victories.
A hat-trick from Robbie O'Dell and one from Paul Lawrence saw United win 4-3 against Ampthill on Tuesday night.
Other than four 'regulars' from last season's squad, United fielded several triallist new faces.
United led 3-0 at the 65th minute stage and looked to have the game in the bag. But 20 minutes of constant pressure saw the visitors pull themselves back into the game and drew level with two minutes remaining.
A last minute penalty after Simon Catmur was alleged to have been shoved in the penalty area allowed O'Dell to secure victory for the hosts.
United won 3-1 against Barton Rovers in Saturday's pre-season friendly.
A brace from Keith Thomas and one from the returning Ross Kane secured victory.
This Saturday, United entertain a Stevenage Boro youth and reserve side at Second Meadow (3pm ko).
