Biggleswade Water polo Club hosted their old rivals Bedford on Monday evening.

With Bedford narrowly winning the first swim off, they proved dominant and scored three goals in the first quarter. Stuart Hollyman managed to get Biggleswade off the mark also scoring in the first quarter.

Biggleswade hit back in the second quarter, keeping good possession and with well-made passes leading to a second goal from Hollyman. Bedford also scored a further goal.

The third and fourth quarters saw two illegal player change overs from Biggleswade leading to penalties for Bedford, both resulting in goals.

Bedford scored a further two goals in the third quarter, with Ian Stupple scoring a consolation for Biggleswade.

Stupple scored his second goal of the match in the fourth quarter and Phil Smailes clinched a post rattling shot into the bottom corner.

But Bedford scored three goals in the fourth quarter to leave the final score 10-5 in their favour.
