Plans are well advanced for the annual Letchworth Garden City seven-a-side cricket tournament next month.
This will take place at Whitethorn Lane on Friday, September 12, in conjunction with Warwickshire CCC.
The day is being held this year in support of Warwickshire beneficiary Michael Powell, their former captain, who will be bringing seven county colleagues with him to take part in the tournament.
Eight teams, sponsored by local companies and organisations, will compete for The Comet Trophy.
The first game is scheduled to start at 10.15am with the final taking place at about 6pm. During the day there will also be an auction of sporting memorabilia.
Anyone requiring further information or wishing to become a sponsor of the event should contact the organiser Mark Bianchi on 07778 708648 or email him at mark@bianchifurniture.co.uk
