The Herts Sports Partnership is set to honour the county's sporting unsung heroes in May.

Sporting unsung heroes across Hertfordshire will be recognised for their outstanding contribution to sport at the annual Herts Sports Partnership Service to Sport Awards.

The awards, created to recognise the exceptional work that goes on within sport, sees representation from all 10 local districts spanning across 22 different sports.

The awards evening, held at the University of Hertfordshire, will be a chance to honour those behind the scenes sport people who work tirelessly in clubs and organisations throughout Hertfordshire to make sport happen.

Each separate category will see awards presented to first, second and third places on Tuesday, May 2.

Winners from each of the relevant award categories will be put forward to represent Hertfordshire in the BBC East Regional Sports Awards. And winners from these awards will go forward as a nominee for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Unsung Hero Award.

The awards evening is open to anyone and if you would like to attend, please call Graham Keen on 01707 281006 to reserve your free ticket.
