Could the next Lewis Hamilton or Ashley Young have been honoured at the second annual John Henry Newman School sports awards evening?
The event celebrated the achievements of the Stevenage school's sporting stars last Tuesday.
Both F1 ace Hamilton and England footballer Young are former pupils at the school.
The respective Sporting Excellence winners were Renee Hector from Year Eight and Edward Roberts from Year 10.
Sports team of the year were the Year 10 footballers (shown above).
Since the awards, John Henry Newman have been confirmed as boys' Year Seven district cricket champions, and boys' Year Nine district tennis champions.
