Biggleswade Swimming Club had another successful weekend at the Beds county championships.

Their swimmers have now won an amazing 163 medals and the championship is only halfway through with the last two days being on March 24-25.

The medals - 74 golds, 51 silvers and 38 bronzes - have been won by swimmers in all the age ranges from the nine-year-olds like Ethan Farrell, Benjamin Horner, Huw Jones and Emily Bradbury to the older swimmers such as Hayley Davis (22) and David Dowsett (21).

An amazing 209 personal bests were gained, plus 92 East Region qualifying times and 10 national qualifying times.

In addition, 34 club age group records were broken, five junior club records and five senior club records were broken.

The relay races were well contested with Biggleswade achieving some exciting wins and high placings against strong opposition.
