An Adam Paine brace saw Newcotech win at Onnett to progress to round four of the Herts Sunday Intermediate Cup.

Premier Division leaders Bottles dropped points. A Craig Reynolds free-kick and a strike from Tom Henry seemed to have given Mallard the points but Dan Hartland popped up with a double to grab a point.

Nirankari Sports Sabha still lay second but are 100 per cent from just six games and lay in wait.

Dun Cow are starting to find their old form, Shaun Marshall (two), Rikki Doyle (two), Adam Furness, Ian Thorne and Scott Mahoney hit the net. Broadhall's reply came by way of a Paul Gasson penalty.

Bedwell Athletic beat basement side Old Red Lion thanks to a Joel Mason hat-trick, plus strikes from Liam Errington, Adam Buckingham, Paul Underwood and Alex Headington.

They were four-up at the break but the Red improved in the second-half and netted firstly when Keven Fehmi managed to finish despite being upended and again from a Danny Hillard penalty.

Pin Green stayed top of Division One after a fourth meeting of the season with Royal Oak. The won the divisional cup tie but lost in the county cup, however, they completed a league double thanks to Steve Soards' late penalty. Dave Baldwin had earlier netted with a far post header from a corner. A regular in the goalscoring charts, Calvert Garnes, scored for Oak.

Probuild are now second after a comfortable win over Aston Athletic, for whom Danny Bowey scored.

Gary Pomfret got the scoring under way after a couple of minutes. Rich Hall and Dan Gregory added more before Michael Bunker netted. Hall added two more to complete his hat-trick and Lee Allinson sealed the win with a header with five minutes to go.

Breachwood Lions slipped a place to third despite Adam Burnage giving them an early lead when he reacted quickly on a stray pass. Tom Younger tapped in after the ball came off the bar to equalise before Ade Barry netted with a peach from 30 yards to give MBDA the lead. Danny Jefferies equalised from 20 yards but Gav Bowler curled home the winner to bring the points back to Stevenage and push MBDA into fourth.

A Ross Miller hat-trick inspired SCS to a terrific win over Coopers. They were in front inside two minutes but were pulled level when Christian Goodyear netted before the break.

After going in front again, Gavin Acton volleyed the equaliser after a long throw from Martin Barrett was hooked over by Danny Wardell. SCS led again almost immediately, then added two more through Ashley Reynolds and Hayden McColm. Finally, after Goodyear was fouled in the box, up stepped new captain Tom Bradshaw to net a consolation.

Grant Sullivan opened the scoring for Pig and Whistle early in the game direct from a corner. John Johnson grabbed a good brace to end the contest before Simon Cornish netted Stevenage Colts Old Boys' consolation.

A hat-trick of hat-tricks saw Division Two leaders FC Rising Sun continue their superb start to the season. Karl Akers slotted home the opener after Riyston Williams' hard work and added another with an acrobatic overhead kick following Williams' cross. Lee Kitching scored the final goal before the break from 20 yards.

Akers was first to a hat-trick following yet another Williams assist and a long Michael Beeton throw-in was flicked home by Paul Harvey before he curled home his second. Williams finally got on the scoresheet, firstly smashing home a loose ball before beating two defenders, rounding the keeper and slotting home.

Harvey got his second from a cross from Oliver Moeni-May. Lewis Littlechild scored King Pin United's consolation at this point before Beeton got in on the act, heading in a corner from Andrew Davis before Kologo Richards' shot fell for Williams to conclude his treble.

The saying 'what a difference a week makes in football' applied to ProCladd. They had forfeited at half-time as four players had enough of the beating they were receiving.

This week, three new signings played their part in a terrific victory. Left-back Gary Jaques grabbed his first goal for the club before Danny Halliday doubled the lead with a brilliant effort from 20 yards.

In the second-half, Crooked Billet hit back to level through Jamie Gulliver and Dean Page. However, Cody Kendrick restored the lead from George Rowe's pass and with 10 minutes left, Charlie Barnett was on the end of a Jaques cross to chip the keeper to kill the game off.

Andrew Wilson gave Triage the lead against the run of play on the half hour when his shot was deflected past keeper Ian Woods. Norwich Union finally equalised after good work from James Dillnutt on the left enabled Neil Lewis to crash a header in off the underside of the bar.

Dave Banks won it in injury-time after a perfectly flighted cross from Pete Morrison. Triage had claimed offside to no avail.

Martin Matthews struck four times for Old Social as the new boys roared up to second in the table. Leigh Mardlin added the other against Emperors Head, who replied through Tom Roworth, Sam Mortimer and Ray Netherwood.

Division Three leaders White Horse enjoyed their day off as a hat-trick from hotshot Carl Thompson played a major part in Chequers' surprisingly comfortable win over their challengers Bottles Res. Ant Alcock, John Mikel and Mark Greenall were also on target. Justin Brown and John Saunders replied after the break.

A Kevin Ward hat-trick and one from Johnny Gardner helped Fox gain three points as they consolidated fourth place. Dave Herbert and Ben Sheldrake scored for Athletico Timebridge.

Dean Shakespeare poked past Leeroy Litchmore after he had parried Terry Lock's overhead kick to give AFC Stevenage the lead. MBDA Res levelled when their top scorer from last season, Hayden Jones, netted on his first appearance of the season when he raced onto Andy Jackson's through ball.

Richard Minnis put AFC back in front but Jackson's free-kick fell for Liam Boon to level again. The winner came as early as the half-hour mark as Lock danced through four challenges to blast home in style.

A late strike from Richard O'Donovan gave MC Racing the points. They led on the half hour against the run of play when good play led to a lovely 20-yard drive from Steve Teale. Shortly afterwards, Darren Curry got a deserved equaliser for North Herts Celtic.

An in-swinging free-kick from Teale was headed in by captain James Cox before a needless penalty conceded by Anthony Koop was converted by Leigh Pollard to level again. However, a deft touch from Teale set O'Donovan away to grab all the points.

Fixtures will resume on January 7 when the remaining four Premier Division sides battle for a place in the quarter-finals of the county cup.
