The acrobatic gymnastics team from Marriotts took part in the annual Woodland friendly competition at Luton on Sunday.

Nine gymnasts entered and collectively came away with three gold and three silver medals in the tumbling competition and a gold on the floor.

In the preparatory A tumbling grade, Kathryn Barnes and Alice Tomlinson won gold and silver respectively. Keira Hicks won the silver in preparatory B with Emma Hayter just missing out on a position in the medals by gaining fourth.

In preparatory C men's tumbling, Jon Co took the gold and Emma Hepsoe and Evangeline Evans also gained the first and second position in their preparatory D level.

On the floor, Kelly Stringer and Emma Hayter performed a terrific routine for the women's pairs preparatory B grade winning the gold with a score of 24.43.

Ellen Daly, Emma Hepsoe and Keira Hicks, who have only recently started training together as a trio, put in a confident routine and gained sixth position within a strong and experienced women's group level one.
