Letchworth Garden City Eagles have appointed Cathryn Henry as manager of their women's team.
The side finished top of Division Two in the Beds & Herts League this season and Henry will take over from Warren Shimmell, who had always planned to step down at the close of the campaign.
Eagles chairman Simon Efford said: "I am delighted to announce that Cathryn Henry has been appointed as the club’s women’s manager for the 2024-25 season.
"This hasn’t been a recent decision as I had discussions with Cathryn last summer when Warren had informed me that this would be his last season.
"Cathryn has been at the forefront of developing the girl’s side of the club at youth level and has done an excellent job in building this.
"She believes in the club’s vision and will use the existing foundations to create a modern and ambitious female pathway, built on the club's culture of player and people development.
"I am sure that everyone at Letchworth Eagles wishes Cathryn all the best in her new role."
