Steve Evans would not be drawn on where the season could take his Stevenage side - but another three points has certainly strengthen their hopes of being involved in the final shake-up.
A goal five minutes from the end of normal time by Jake Forster-Caskey handed Boro a 1-0 home win against Blackpool, pushing them back into the top six and the play-off places.
He has always said though that he will take stock when they come out of February but after a third straight success, he is happy to still be pushing.
"We have to look after ourselves," said the boss. "We know how important February is and I spent a couple of hours with our chairman yesterday, moving through the plan for the next five weeks.
"If we have a good five weeks, then the five weeks after that become even bigger.
"This is a great time of the season for managers and players to be involved at the top end of it.
"Indifferent results will happen, they will happen for us and for different teams.
"It is never about us losing a game or anybody else losing a game, it’s the reaction.
"We’ve got big characters in the dressing room, big characters at the training ground and big characters in the board room."
There was also a bit of brevity as the boss hailed the breaking of the 50-point barrier.
He said: "You know, there's one really pleasing point from today - I think we’ve got enough points to stay up now.
"I can remember back in June on holiday and I met a manager from League One who said his objective was to stay in League One.
"Last season I got asked if my objective was to keep Stevenage in League Two.
"We've won again. Let’s try and get a point or three against Reading and then we’ll take it to a tough away game next Saturday [against Port Vale]
"And then we’re back here. It’s relentless, it never stops.
"But if you're at this stage of the season, you wouldn't want it any other way - big games every week."
The match itself wasn't the greatest but sometimes the gritty wins are the most important.
Evans said: "I think if you looked at it before the game, I think the onus was a little bit on Blackpool to beat us - when they’ve played a couple of games more and are three points behind.
"It's a great three points. It's not the best game in the world for any football purist they came in a way to contain and stop us.
"Leading up to the game, our preparations was on where they could hurt us and I think in many respects there was a cancellation of both teams.
"It was going to take either a bit of magic or luck and I think it's a bit of both.
"Forster-Caskey shifts it and some of the lads think it is going in the far corner before it's helped in the other side with the defenders trying to block it.
"But it's a really good win for us.
"We knew that going to Wigan last week was the start of the big period.
"We went to Wigan and got a good win and now we’ve won against Blackpool."
