There were still some games played in the Hitchin Sunday League despite the cold weather and it proved a good day for Squirrel Taverners.

They won 4-0 against Inter Malone to go top of Division One.

It was a commanding performance from Squirrel who took the lead early on through Liam Tyler before doubling it with a long Luke Smith shot.

The onslaught continued in the second period with Tyler going round the keeper and slotting away the third and the fourth arrived via a Kyle Young free-kick which went in off the post.

Sandon also won 4-0 in Division Two, their victory against Buffs, lifting them up to second.

There were four different cup competitions taking place this week.

In the third round of the Herts Sunday Senior Cup Chells Rovers fell to a 4-1 loss away to Herts Ad Sunday League Premier Division leaders Brookmans Park.
