A taekwondo club in Stevenage have added another five black belts to their number - with the youngest one of all at just 10-years-old.

Powell TKD, who train out of the Nobel School, now have 15 in total with the three of the latest all coming from the Howard family.

Dad Justin and sons Noah and Aaron joined Steve and Ty in getting their grading.

Stevenage Royals men's first team had a handsome 76-28 win away to Cranfield University.

The basketball club opened strong with a 20-2 first quarter before ending just as good, winning the fourth 27-8.

The Royals' women's development side lost narrowly to Cardiff Met Archers, beaten 74-72.

Stevenage Storm Blizzard picked up points after a 15-0 victory over Panthers in Division Two of the Herts Indoor Netball League.

They are now third in the table after four games.

Bedwell Table Tennis Club's F team won their match away to Grange 7-3 with Mike Shakespeare taking the player of the match award by winning all his singles matches and in straight sets.

Joao Rodrigues also won his three singles with one going to four sets.

They have moved up to second in the Division Three table with three wins from four.

 

The club also had two 5-5 draws.

The E team were the first, Peter Frost the leading scorer with two singles wins and one in the doubles with John Gardner.

The latter and Christopher Smith won one match each of their singles.

The Pink Panthers were the other in Division One of the North Herts Table Tennis Association's leagues.

Graham Aslett and John Pollard both won two of their matches against Royston while Oladele Adebulugbe added the fifth point

This was a third draw in five matches for them.
